We begin with an excerpt from “The Revival Project” a collaborative project with Hotel Revival and GRL PWR, delving into the life and legacy of Mary Elizabeth Garrett, a pivotal figure in the women's suffrage movement.
The second half transitions into the mesmerizing dance film "Veiled," co-created with Rebecca Hill exploring the duality of the vaudeville era, capturing both the despair that shadowed its performers and the fleeting moments of joy they experienced.
About the B&B Collective:
Under the umbrella of Beer and Ballet, The B&B Collective was created for those who have previous dance experience and crave the studio rehearsal process. This is a once-a-week rehearsal experience to learn choreography while moving with fellow retired or professional movers from the DMV area. In it’s first year of existence, the B&B Collective was invited to perform for the 2023 Peabody Dance Festival. Currently, the Collective is working on a Dance Film entitled “The Revival Project” in collaboration with Mt. Vernon’s beautiful Hotel Revival, Baltimore-based musicians GRL PWR, and several other DMV Collaborators
